US label out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Started in 1954 by brothers Amos and Dan Heilicher, the label name is "Amos" spelled backwards. The first 17 releases have matrices from FM Recording Co, of Hollywood, California. Many were originally issued on the FM Recording Co label, and again on Soma (as 78rpm and 45rpm). Soma 1018 is the first disc to be pressed with Kay Bank matrices. Soma began mainly recording polka music, old-time country and western and jazz groups. Its first hit was Bo
