Yacht rock artist Christopher Cross has revealed that his hit song "Ride Like The Wind" was influenced by a 1974 song by Paul McCartney. Cross admitted to "ripping off" McCartney's work as the initial inspiration for the track.
He humorously noted that he has never actually told McCartney about this inspiration. Cross speculated that McCartney might jokingly ask for royalties, given the clear influence of his earlier song on the 1979 hit.
