SOCAN acquires CMRRA, consolidating Canadian music rights licensing

SOCAN, the performing rights society for Canadian songwriters, has completed the acquisition of CMRRA, Canada's mechanical rights organization. This consolidation means that both performing and mechanical rights in Canada will now be managed and licensed through a single entity.
