This inaugural offering positions Alien Range as a formidable presence within the techno landscape, channeling a sound deeply rooted in the genre's formative years while pushing a distinct, contemporary edge. At 5 minutes and 29 seconds, "Spirit Cooking" is a masterclass in controlled intensity. The track unfurls with a relentless, low-slung groove, propelled by a meticulously crafted percussive backbone that evokes the raw energy of warehouse spaces. Atmospheric textures weave through the dense rhythmic framework, building a palpable sense of anticipation and release. Alien Range demonstrates a keen understanding of dynamics, allowing elements to breathe and evolve, creating a hypnotic journey rather than a static loop. It's a track designed for peak-time immersion, favoring intricate sonic narratives over immediate gratification, a hallmark of enduring techno. Reflecting on the track, Alien Range shares, "'Spirit Cooking' was about capturing that specific energy—the kind that builds slowly, almost imperceptibly, until it takes over the whole room. It’s a nod to the records that first drew me into this culture, but filtered through my own experiences in the studio. Finding that balance between raw power and nuanced detail is always the goal." This release marks a significant introduction for Alien Range, establishing his sonic identity with a track that resonates with both historical reverence and forward-thinking production. For Ozcillex, "Spirit Cooking" aligns perfectly with their ethos of presenting authentic, impactful electronic music, signaling a promising trajectory for an artist whose dedication to the craft is evident in every beat. "Spirit Cooking" will be available across all major digital platforms.
